A twenty-five-year-old science museum rebuilt as a next-generation technology centre.

After twenty-five years without major updates, Museo Tezozómoc is undergoing a full transformation into a next-generation science and technology centre. The redesign reimagines both content and spatial experience, blending historical preservation with immersive, interactive learning environments rooted in contemporary experience design.

01 · Strategy

Identity, journey and UX research

In 2024 we led the full conceptual redesign of the museum's interior, including graphic identity, visitor journey and UX research to address existing challenges. The project was structured in two production phases to align with budget and execution strategies across 2024 and 2025.

02 · Phase one

Energy Hall transformation

Focused on the museum's largest and most iconic space, this phase reimagined the Energy Hall with a new visitor flow, educational content strategy and interaction logic. Legacy mechanical exhibits were restored and upgraded in collaboration with their original creators, while new technologies and graphic storytelling modernised the experience without erasing its educational roots.

03 · Phase two

Entrance, façade and remaining halls

Currently in production, this phase covers the entrance circuit, public areas and all remaining galleries. The architectural identity and visitor flow of the building are being redesigned to reflect the museum's renewed mission, guided by the original narrative and spatial concept.
