A permanent multimedia exhibition where cosmology, science and ancestral worldviews meet.
Sistema Solar y Cosmovisiones is a permanent multimedia exhibition at Museo Yancuic — a bold new cultural space in Iztapalapa dedicated to imagination, community and decentralised access to science and art. The journey invites young audiences to explore the vastness of the cosmos, the origins of our planet and the wisdom of ancestral worldviews.
01 · Cosmos
Mapping Laniakea
We begin with an interactive cosmic immersion — mapping the Laniakea supercluster and navigating dynamic simulations of the solar system and the birth of the sun.

02 · Earth
Impact as an interface
The experience then shifts to Earth: touch-based installations let visitors trigger meteor impacts and witness geological transformations, engaging with the living processes that shaped our atmosphere and surface.

03 · Cosmovision
The mythic cycle of the Five Suns
In a pivotal turn, visitors enter the Nahua cosmovision, channel the dual forces of Quetzalcóatl and Tezcatlipoca, and activate ancestral agricultural rites through gesture-based interaction — blending spiritual memory with ecological rhythm.

04 · Roots
The intelligence of trees
The final section reveals underground life. Through interactive growth systems, visitors learn about the hidden networks between roots and microorganisms — an invitation to reconsider our relationship with the living earth. Artistic expression, indigenous philosophy and scientific knowledge converge into a living constellation of questions.
